We all come to a point in our lives that we must decide for ourselves – is God’s Word True? Notice I did not give another option. As believers there should be no other option. God never said to “pick and choose” the parts of the Bible that you want to abide in. No. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God. Not man. God.
So my challenge for you today is to ask yourself do I believe the Word of God is Truth, or have I been adding my own opinions and experience to it? Have I let circumstances change the way I view the Word? Have I elevated opinions or doctor’s reports over Truth? Do I stand unwavering on the Word of God?
How you answer these questions are vital in how you will walk out your life in Christ. Are you allowing Holy Spirit to lead you into all Truth (John 16:13), or are you allowing man, opinions, experiences or false doctrine to guide your steps (2 Timothy 4:3-4)? If anything other than God is leading you, then it will be impossible to live in the fullness of Christ.
Now I pray that you allow your heart to be softened by the washing of The Word by meditating on the Truth found only in scripture. Please silence every voice but His. Psalm 119 declares, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
